Sweet Baby Boy!

It's a snow day here in the UK around my neck of the woods...girls have been out to make a snowman and snow angels and we are now all snuggled up with a hot cocoa and blankets watching tv!! I love days like this....off to make a roast dinner soon though so just whipping up a quick post! I did a sweet baby card, I wanted to originally do the stalk too but the bird is quite wide and to fit it on it would have been too small so I went with just the stalk but I think it turned out sweet.

This month over at Jessica Sprague I am designing for Queen of Quirk so I used her gorgeous kit Bare Branches for my card. I also wanted to show you the back of my card. Regina over at the Cutting Café has a Handmade just for you file you can get customised and I used this for the back with a scallop punch.

Hi to my sweet blog readers....hope you had a great weekend! Hubby took my eldest Daughter Molly to another rollerskating party yesterday and a science party on Saturday...so they're all partied out!! Megan who is 4 had a fab sleepover at Nanna and Grandads and I had a lovely relaxing weekend and managed to get in abit of crafting too!!

Ok so this month over at Jessica Sprague I am designing for - Pink Paislee and I decided on a cute lil' card and gift holder. I used NEW DIGITAL KIT by Pink Paislee called Sweetness such a pretty kit to craft with! I used a cute lil' Teabag Holder cutting file from the Cutting Café. Happy Friday everyone....I hope had a great week and have an even better weekend! We had a chinese tonight...yum! Molly has a party tomorrow and a skating party on Sunday (Daddy is taking her so her can have a skate ;)) and Megan is off to Nanna and Grandads for a sleepover (first time by herself) Saturday night! She normally goes with her big sister, I bet she gets totally spoilt!

Happy Monday sweet blog readers....I have a poorly girl at home with me today :( she is having lots of cuddles. Temp, cough, cold...and feeling sick poor baby. Anyway I decided to whip up this card after we all went rollerskating yesterday with another family from school...it was great fun! My 4 year loves it...she puts on her skates every morning before school and skates around the house!! We have a friends rollerskating birthday party coming up next Sunday too! Hubby being a speed skater of course whizzed around the floor! ;)

Hi sweet readers....no snow here yet just rain :/ I had a wonderful day today crafting all day with a sweet friend who lives a few doors away! I think we accomplished lots considering all the chatting and eating that went on...lol! We were both delighted with our makes and here is one of mine!

Hi and Merry Christmas!! I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and all your Christmas wishes came true! My little girl Molly turned 8 on Christmas morning so she gets double presents to open.....all a little overwhelming but she loves it! We had a second little Christmas yesterday with my Brother, his wife and their triplets...it was a crazy day, always is when they visit....we all had a fab day and I did a Christmas lunch with all the trimmings...yummy! Today hubby is back at work so we're just lazing around having a relaxing day! How about you?

So today I'm here to show you some inspiration from the Cutting Café - Christmas Card Fun! This week we got to pick which files to use and then we can give the files away to 1 lucky commentor...WOOHOO!!

I chose these cute little Christmas card files aren't they so adorable...one of my favs! I cut these out with my cutting machine, then adhered the digital paper behind. I used the Christmas Mini word sentiment....I love these!

Snow Day Christmas pockets

Hi to my fabulous blog readers....are you all getting into the festive spirit!! I love all the pretty lights everywhere! I have some news to share, I am now designing for Jessica Sprague....yay!!! I had the sweetest email asking if I would like to join their team of amazing designers and of course without hesitation I said YES!! I love all the digital goodness over there!

Ok so I'm here to show you some weekly inspiration from the Cutting Café - Christmas Pockets and I used Pink Paisley - Snow Day papers Digital Kit and Pink Paisley - Snow Day Elements all from Jessica Sprague to make it all pretty!

These fun little pockets over at the Cutting Café are so cute, I cut this one on my cutting machine in no time at all. I stamped some snowflakes onto the clear acetate...I think they turned out super cute the I added a little Christmas Mini word sentiment....I love these! The tags are cut with dies in my cuttlebug.

Snow is falling.....

....yes today we went to a Christmas lunch as as we came out to head to our car, it was snowing!! Only for a few minutes though but it was so pretty with all the Christmas twinkling lights in the background!
I'm not sure about you but I absolutely love Christmas! One of my Daughters was born on Christmas Day too so Christmas is extra special around here! Today I am sharing a DT project for the Digichick, I decided to make some sweet Tags and a little boxed envie to put them in! These are one of my favourite things to create, I always make tags for gifts at Christmas...they can really make a present. I hope these Christmas tags get you in a festive mood! ;)

Hi everyone, I was asked by My Memories, if I would like review their Digital Scrapbook Software, I said yes! It's always good to have another platform to work with and I thought it may have some things my current software doesn't have. I don't typically do digital scrapbooking, I am more a card maker but I thought why not, especially whilst my cardmaking supplies are packed away during my house renovations!! Also I could you this software for my digital cards and printing off digital papers etc.

Here are the projects I did. I selected a Design your own album page first and selected the template below, then I just double-clicked on each square to select my photos from my computer...super easy and quick, I just selected some random pictures purely to see how quickly I could create this.....it took me 15 mins from start to finish. I added in some EP digital paper as a background at the end by just clicking on background papers - custom and then selecting paper from my computer.....so easy to do and simple to navigate.

Next I selected Create an album from a designer template and I chose this template and just double-clicked on the template to add my pictures....so easy and they are so cute! ;)

I hope you liked them...I'm still navigating my way round but so far having lots of fun along the way...watch this video below to tell you more.

If you haven't visited Heather's blog before you may be wondering why her blog is named Houses Built of Cards, here she gives you a short explanation.

Like many crafters, I found out quite quickly with how addicting this cardmaking craft is that I can never use all the cards I find myself making. I also realized that I could not sell them for enough to justify my time and expenses. Then I realized that I could use them to help someone else. Something that had deeply touched my two young daughters, and filled their prayers, is what decided the direction to go from there.

We had some connection through my church to a ministry called Sister Connection that works in Burundi Africa to bring hope and healing to the widows and orphans of the Civil War that happened in the 1990’s. One of the ways they do that is by building homes – at an incredible cost of only $600! They hire local builders, and purchase supplies locally as well, fostering a sense of ownership and pride within the community. In Burundian society, widows are viewed as outcasts, and have no one to advocate for them. The miracle of a new home is a testimony to the widow, her children, her community, and ultimately, to the country at-large. “Widows and orphans deserve healing, dignity, and hope!”

I would like for you to meet someone very special. Her name is Charlotte (Ndimurwanko Charlotte). She is the first recipient of a home through sales of my cards. I have also committed to partnering with her as a sponsor for $30 a month to help provide her and her family with food, seed to plant, clothing, household necessities, medical care, and education assistance.

Charlotte has 3 married children, and she cares for 3 orphaned grandchildren. Her husband passed away in 1983. Her health is not good. This new home will help restore dignity and hope for Charlotte and her children. It is a true testimony of God’s love to the widow and orphan and a constant reminder that they are not forgotten.

I combined two DT projects this week as I am having a nightmare of a week with no kitchen or dining room whatsoever....floors up, wall knocked through and a thick layer of dust everywhere....no fun! The two rooms we lost have come into the main house and stuff is piled everywhere! We have new rooms but they are in the process of being wired and plastered! So combining these projects this week has been a great saviour. Power is back on and if you don't hear from me for a while you know why!

I created this little pillow box in no time at all.....I love how quickly this came together, I love that Regina (the owner of the Cutting Café) includes the score lines in the cut so you just cut out and fold on the dashed cut lines and adhere together....super quick and easy as pie and no scoring......great when are have no time but need a cute little box to put a gift in!!

Hey everyone! It's sooo quiet around here with the kiddos back at school but I'm lovin' the routine again and a tidy house! It was Megan's 1st day at school on Monday and she loved it! I can't believe how much homework she brought home and she's only 4...bless!!!

Hi guys...later today the Cutting Cafe Design Team will have some inspirational projects to share over on the Cutting Cafe blog HERE!

Anything goes this week over at the Cutting Café so I wanted to create a really quick Halloween topper for a little treat bag of Cinder Toffee (honeycomb), I decided to use the Shaped Cards file over at the Cutting Café, I have the full set which has 7 card shapes and I made this card abit smaller to create my topper. The spider is from the Halloween/Fall Milk Carton isn't that little spider the cutest!

Here's my project and I decided to use the Assorted Milk Carton with the cupcake cutout, you could put acetate behind the cut-out but I decided to put black card behind kinda like a silhouette, then I did a little matching card using the Assorted Scallop Set for the card base and the sentiment on the cupcake is from Birthday Fun1! My little tab on the top of the milk carton just slides off so you can fill the carton with goodies!

So today I am giving away the Milk Carton and it comes in WPC, PDF and SVG formats and also comes with several cutouts.

Custom Order and Crafty Ribbons DT Call!

Hi sweet blog friends, this card was a custom order...the customer wanted a re-creation of a card I did a while back as her Niece is a Hello Kitty fan.....who isn't? Both my little girls love Hello Kitty....so cute! I used Scrappymom's sentiments!

Also I am popping by to let you all know about a DT Call for Crafty Ribbons! They have just launched a fortnightly/bi-weekly challenge blog. I am lucky enough to have been on several of their challenges in the past, they stock fabulous ribbons and if you don't know already ribbons are one of my favourite items to use on my projects, I love all the pretty colours and patterns! Hey guys.....hope you're all having a fabulous week! All the walls are up in our extension...yay...we're getting there!
I am here to show you Zoe Pearn's newest digital kit Sunshine and Lollipops! What a cute name huh!

The scallop card is from Cricut - Sugar and spice, then I punched holes in the scallops and threaded through some twine! All the other elements are digital, I laid out all the elments I wanted for the card on a blank page in photoshop and then printed and cut them out! Even the dotty ribbon is digital! ;) Hugs x

Hi sweet blog friends...hope you are having a fab weekend! We had my Brother's triplets 3rd birthday party yesterday which was great...my girls had lots of fun, there were lots of children and I was exhausted! Today I'm just catching up on some chores while the builders are not here...when they're here I can't hang out my washing with all the dust and dirt everywhere, so lots of washing for me! I'm quickly popping in as I wanted to tell you about a cute set over at The Cutting Cafe...it's a gumball machine shaped card, I couldn't wait to whip this up! I also used the Tiny Window Box file and the I love Gumball Background paper for the envelope liner and the box base all from The Cutting Cafe. Hey guys...what a week I've had, I hurt my back last Thursday I don't even know how but I woke up and couldn't move...I seem to suffer from sciatica and every now and then this happens, anyway all is ok now and each day it's been getting better and now I'm fine just a little sore sometimes. We've had builders and people around everyday doing stuff for our extension and last night we lost the electric...I was just sitting down to my desk and poof...gone! Luckily I had already showered and had a cup of tea! It turned out to be just our house and we had to empty our fridges and freezer....then this morning a team of people got to work digging up our driveway! Thankfully the fault was found and fixed and we now have electricity...yay! So I made a sweet card! :) Hugs x
